1.Google USB-C to USB-C Cable appearanceThis cable used white TPE Jacket, green and environmentally friendly materials.
We use this
usb-c cable to charge 13 inch Macbook pro, the current tester shows voltage 20.272V,current 2.5515A, power 51.724W, support USB PD charging.
Then, we use it to charge google pixel 2, the current tester shows voltage 9.1404V,current 1.5781A, power 14.366W.
We use this cable charge 100W power bank, the current tester shows voltage 20.084V,current 2.9208A, power 58.659W, this cable max power is 60W.(20V3A)
2.Google USB-C to USB-C Cable Teardown
Remove the connector outer jacket.
The USB-C pcb protected by metal casing with laser welding workmanship.
And the inside of metal shell full of white plastic.
The metal casing is firmly welded to the usb-c plug.
We managed to remove the casing from the connector after some careful cutting.
The usb-c cable wiring diagram revealed after clear the white plastic, there are 5 pads on the pcb,GND,CC,D+,D-,VBUS, positive and negative both used a pair of power wire to meet 3A current request.

usb-c to usb-c cable don't exsit Vconn signal wire, the Vonn signal wire usually applied in usb-c to usb-c 2.0 100W cable with E-marker chip.
There is a circle of copper foil at the end of connector, It can play a role in heat dissipation.
Cut the cable and remove the cable TPE jacket,the inner wire protected by a layer of braid shielding and Alumium foil.
It exsit 8 wires inside, 2 red Vbus wires, 1 green D+ wire, 1 white D- wire, 1 yellow CC wire, 3 bare wires(2 wires connect to GND, third wire terminate to the plug metal shells)
All wire used tinned copper conductor.
3.Teardown Summary:This google usb-c to usb-c cable build in high quality materials and outstanding workmanship, power wire both used a pair of wire to meet 3A current request, support 60W USB PD.
